Make sure to have them scan the price first before you trust what's listed on the price tag. We stopped by to get a gift for our cousins kid and the sticker price on the item was listed as is, with the worker indicating there was an additional % off that price as a discount. We rung up the item and as we got the receipt back, realized the % off was barely any. We inquired about the issue and they abruptly told us that all sales are final, which we knew. We had to tell them the sticker price and what was taken off was wrong. They checked the sticker price and told us that this is incorrect, then proceeded to remove the incorrect price tag, then tried to replace it with a higher price sticker. This was borderline fraudulent on their end and they kept arguing there is nothing they can do and all sales are final. We were about to call our credit card company and after making a scene how what they were doing is super shady and basically fraudulent, they said they will call their office to try and get the refund issue. The whole time they were very combative and aggressive where we felt like we weren't meant to belong there. ZERO customer service experience on their end. I worked retail myself and this is not acceptable, especially for a high end boutique store. The one worker toward the end even mentioned they deal with 1000s of dollars of merchandise sales and that 100 dollars difference doesn't effect them, blah blah and said because we said they were fraudulent that they don't feel the need to help us. Complete 180 from when they kept arguing it was store policy and all sales are final AFTER replacing the sticker on what was already scanned. It was very discouraging to be met with this behavior, felt like a silly scene out of a K-drama. I never write harsh reviews but, wow. This is perfect opportunity for a one star rating. I do not recommend this business to anyone.

My family just experienced the absolute worst customer service based off nothing other than prejudice. We had not checked reviews before visiting this store but now understand the consistency of rude, outrageous, indecent treatment others experienced as well. It was the older Asian lady who clearly stated in her native language to the younger Asian male clerk something about the condition…as the shirt was coming out of the bag. Please see attached photos and you let me know how reasonable their concern was. #wrinkles
Regardless, it is an unfortunate representation of a horrible hiring decision if the reviews have been this consistent for this length of time. It was my 8 year old who held up the sign at the register to the store clerks and set them straight but the one male clerk was unhappy with our justified displeasure of service who said he would not refund it, all while the older lady who started the problem stood by watching him. It was not ethical of him to say he wouldn’t exchange the shirt by any means. Whilst my husband called mall security, I called the store manager and switched the call to FaceTime so she could see the “condition” #wrinkles. She called her employees and they promptly processed the exchange. Wholly unnecessary. Micro aggressions are real and this treatment was intended. Mind you, we were within the return period AND the shirt had never been worn not even a try on. We merely held it up to our child and realized it wouldn’t fit. Regardless a whole fuss just to exchange is ridiculous. It is easier to go directly through Designer or online retailer. As a Founder & CEO I’d suggest to store admin to do some statistical research on money spent by demographic and invest in cultural sensitivity training across the board because everyone works in some way for money spent. Save your time, and your dime on this one.

I recently visited Kids Atelier in South Coast Plaza that truly impressed me with its excellent service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the shopping experience enjoyable for both me and my children. The store had a great selection of stylish, high-quality clothing, and the employees went out of their way to help us find the perfect outfits. Their patience and willingness to assist with fitting and sizing were commendable. I was shopping on Saturday, the staff the manager where amazing in service, they listened to my need and catered to each request. they helped and guided me in choice of several ( high end) outfits showed me the clearance section where they have great selection. i highly recommend this business, if you are looking for great service, fabulous collection and sincere customer experience

Before I came to the store . I was reading reviews , this store has been around for years and I have been shopping here . All the personnel were super attentive, I don’t think I would get the same services from other stores . I highly recommended this store , they even offered gift wrapping for me . They were very patient to help me with what I needed . Superb . I am very happy that there’s a kid clothing retail store around , knowing most of people are buying online now . Personally I like to feel and see the clothes first before I make any purchases. Kids atelier is the best choice in OC to shop !!! Thank you

Great store and great kids designer collection. The cleance section is amazing, was able to find so many items at great prices. The manager was very helpful and showed us every piece that we are looking for. I recomend this place to everyone looking for designer kids clothing. Will be back for sure,love it !!!!

I went here months ago and they tried taking my card info manually when making a purchase so I left I didn’t trust it. before Christmas I came back and for some reason they needed to use a different machine since there’s didn’t work so I made the purchase the guy asks me to leave my info I told him no and he said it would be easier for them to process a return. I then left the next day I find out someone tried to use my card down the street at an atm to withdraw money . Mind you I don’t even live in the area I’m about 2hrs away I come back in very upset they tell me leave the clothes here I contact management they say corporate is in San Francisco they will call them and process it but I will need to come back or call next day so I do that and I speak to the manager who says they agreed to give me the refund even though it’s not policy she just needs the card details . So I said no I just had fraudulent charges and needed to change my card I need another way so she says she will figure it out and I had to keep calling in even though I made an acct so they have my info she instead leaves without calling me and when I call has an employee tell me there’s nothing they can do only store credit . I call the next day and she says contact corporate online which I have done atleast 6 times where they say they will give me a response within 24/48hrs and have received nothing.The craziest thing was the employee denied with a straight face that he said I would be able to process a return. Don’t come here.
