We went and visited the booth at the international taste festival. My daughter got a Barbie hand fan, she used it a couple times and it broke. Wasn’t dropped or anything, went to see if they could do anything and the guy was rude and tried saying she squeezed too hard, she’s a toddler, she doesn’t play rough. Would not recommend and definitely will not be back with rude customer service.

People complaining about the lack of price tags need to realize that these products are shipped abroad from different countries, and even with the products from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, the prices need to match the prices of the other products. Yes, it’s a tad expensive, but it costs a lot of money to ship products overseas, and it costs a lot to occupy a mall space, so the prices are fair. Personally, I like this store (whenever I visit Destiny USA, this is a store I enter every time) and like the people who run the store and its employees. Keep up the good work.

They don’t have prices on anything in the store, probably because it’s priced 5x its actual value. For 4 items we spent $64.00! The box of Oreos that were Berry, from Japan expired 06/04/2022, and everything else literally expires in the next 4 months! As a customer I would expect the employees to check dates, and rotate items as new ones arrive however, this was not the case. I’m not only disappointed by the price but disgusted that we bought snacks that are expired and due to expire. If you go here, check the expiration dates and ask for prices,

I give reviews for extraordinary services and awful services. Unfortunately, this is the latter. I ordered two original boxes of cereal that was discontinued a long time ago, and more recently brought back, which I was assured they had.

Over a week goes by and I can’t get in contact with the store in any way nor was I contacted back. Finally they contact me saying “sorry for the delay” and that they included other items as an apology for the delay. So far, respectable and appreciative.

The cereal comes in and I’m blown away that the dates on the two boxes are JUN2124 and NOV0924 and clearly from the new release, not the original cereal. I know this because I have a box of the new release in my cabinet and I was looking forward to truly comparing the old original box to the new one. So common sense asks: why would any person with the slightest bit of intelligence pay $30 for two boxes of cereal that I can get at any grocery store for $12?

So I’m thinking it’s clearly a mistake, however, I now can’t get through to the store and messages on social media are clearly being ignored. So my assumption is that they don’t want to own up to any mistakes and they want to keep the money from me.

This business should be ashamed of their ethics.

No prices posted on their items so when you cash out you have an incredibly high total. We bought 6 items at $66. One of our items is even expired and saw several other things on the shelf that expire Sep 20 2222 and even some items from May. Found a 24 pack of one of the items we purchased that was on Amazon and per item would be $2.04 plus tax. I did buy one item that was outdated because it is only by a couple days. They also use plastic bags which is not allowed in New York State. We will find different places to find international snack etc.

They have a wide variety of products and definitely fun stuff to look at. Downfall, prices aren’t listed. I spent almost $14 for a bottle of Faygo (a U.S. soda) and a can of Pringle’s that originated in Canada. Hardly call that exotic. I think they bank on people like me who get too embarrassed at check out to put stuff back because we didn’t realize how crazy stuff was priced.

That being said, if money isn’t an issue this is still a pretty cool place.

Cool dog name Milo. Otherwise Japanese-snacks-republic and umamicart are cheaper to order every single item I bought from here. Among many other places you can find on your own. They purposefully do not label prices making it harder to point out how they are 4-6x more expensive than importing yourself.

This isn't a local business either, they import then upcharge you. They did not offer to price match. They have hardly any items in stock. The tried to incorrectly educate a woman on her home countries chocolate, while also lying about Hershey's. Like you can't just google this info.

Whatever they reply to this post will be in anger for stating facts. Deal with it and be a better business instead of getting angry, owners. When you go out of business remember you had a chance to be better; this reply will be here forever to remind you that your selection is bad and prices are horrible.

This store had no prices listed anywhere. I had picked out two small bags of candy and a small bag of chips. I had no idea what the prices were but i assumed my total wouldn't be that much considering I wasn't buying much. It was incredibly overpriced and the man at the counter told me my total was just under $30 and I nearly fell over. I was not sure what to do in situation, I wanted to cancel the transaction but I felt inclined to continue with the purchase. Looking back I should have canceled it because the food wasn’t even that good. The man at the counter did not even scan any barcodes when he checked me out, he just started tapping the computer screen, and it seemed like he was making up the prices and typing random numbers… The store also does not give paper receipts, so they only way to get proof of your transaction is to give them either your email or phone number, no thank you to that. I should have checked the reviews before I went into the store, and I guarantee every 5 star review on this page is either fake, staged or a bot. I also keep seeing a so called “owner” replying to many of the one star reviews dismissing all the accusations the customers are making, I am telling you now, the owner is wrong. Do not go here, you can find all of the products they sell online for much less than the price they charge. Stay clear because something about this store is fishy.
