I moved here from the northeast several years ago and did not have room for my O scale train in the move.

I heard about the store and wanted to go browse through the store and see what they had. There is a lot to look through.

I don't really have space for a train where I am at, but the N scale trains etc caught my eye. I sort of missed the model making aspect of trains and bought a couple building kits just for fun. I have now gone back several times to get more building kits, then added some trains, people, and accessories. I joke with the staff that when I start buying track they will know I have found a spot for my new railroad.

The selection available is great. Even better is the staff. I have placed online orders for pickup and also had them special order specific trains / rolling stock for me. They have always been incredibly easy to work with. If I am not mistaken, one of the times I was in the store they told me to just ask if there is something I wanted that I did not see (in the store or on their website) and they would try and order it for me.

I have had nothing but positive experiences here. Between the selection available in the store, the ability to order items not in stock, and the great staff, there is no need to look elsewhere in my opinion.

Great service! They had just what I needed at a great price. Very nice people to deal with. The Woodland Scenics items I ordered were sent out right away and very well packed. I'd love to visit your store in person one day!

Iron Planet had the N scale items I wanted at great prices. Order was shipped super quick via UPS and I received it the next day! Highly recommended for your model train needs.

Joni is verry helpful and responsive to email, by phone and on ebay. They have good pricing and excellent customer service, and a huge selection of products. I have been to the store location, and the amount of inventory is mind boggling. I think their main revenue stream comes from online orders, but the entire inventory is available for local pickup. They ship out orders quickly. I will be a repeat customer here!

The local Post Office sits on packages that you paid for. "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending" is their motto.This excerpt is from the tracking information posted. It took over 12 days from Post Office receipt to delivery to travel less than a thousand miles. Several claims to USPS finally move the package on our first order. Our second instance is now over three days old and the package has not moved for the same nonsense from the local Post office.
After two messages to customer service to rectify, {How bout a call or even a visit to the local PO?}, Iron Planet has yet to respond. I guess they got paid but never by me ever again.

1) Since the Post Office is located in your town and you are most likely conduct business on a daily basis, wouldn't it be great to chat with them and ask them why they sit on packages for days on end?
2) I am not concern with the traveling of the package. It gets here when it gets here. But when it even can't get out of the gate for days, that is the concern.
3) There were no choices for a carrier. The choice for USPS was yours and yours alone.
4) No one responded to your contact form inquiry and to the contact information posted on PayPal. In fact the response on Google was the fastest and the only one that I ever received from Iron Planet.
5) Even an order placed via Amazon on the 15th is now sitting in your local Post Office "Shipment Received, Package Acceptance Pending"

Great staff! Best online prices! Great selection! Only a 20 minute drive from where I live! So much easier to shop for stuff in their store instead of cruising the internet.They have all the brands I have needed for completing my n scale layout. The recent addition of Jacob to answer questions about model railroading was a great help to me as a newbie to DCC and maintaining rolling stock. Soon they will be offering onsite repair.
