Hooked, the name says it all.

The coffee shop is ran by one talented individual and an additional talented one from Flow Coffee. These guys utilize their experience and expertise to serve each individual customer a crafted drink which is prepared in front of you, enjoy the experience.

I have been to this coffee shop several times now, service and quality have not declined but rather improved. If you’re a coffee nerd, a connoisseur, or whatever label you identify yourself as with regard to coffee, then this coffee shop is a must. Easily within my top 3 coffee shops in California.

As always, I drop a bit of crumbs to my readers, here are three. One, try their salted caramel latte, it’s honestly their most slept on drink although it does get sold out before Sunday. Second, their brewed coffee is nearly identical to many other coffee shops Pour-Overs, a must. Third crumb, Abel (owner of hooked), is a 3 times latte art world champion, another reason why Hooked is such a slept on location.

One of the best coffees, if not the best coffee in LA.

Nicely is just radiating great energy and you know that drink is making is gonna be delicious. Unique types of drinks are on the menu and once you interact with nicely and grab your coffee, you can enjoy it indoors with the views of the ocean or you can just be right on the beach.

The best coffee I have ever had. It’s a coffee experience! I had a chance to try 12 different coffees. Nicely is clearly very passionate about coffee and makes you the perfect cup.
Tip: don’t order for to go, sit there to get the full experience!

I was looking for a true Venice coffee experience and I’m SO glad I happened to be staying a block away from Hooked Venice, an extended popup at Dudley Market. There’s been a few mind blowing coffee experiences I’ve had in my life, and this was the newest and greatest. Colombian Blueberry Co-Ferment?! I picked up a bag so I could try it at home and another to give as a gift to my GM at my Ocean Beach Cafe in SF. He’s the real coffee nerd. Stoked to get a Presta bag and the owners personal collab with Dune! And then his personal masterpiece of a house made vanilla, orange, cinnamon cortado came from his soul! Thanks Nicely!
