didn’t have a great experience, customer service wasn’t very welcoming. Brought in an emerald pokémon game for the game boy and was told the battery needed to be replaced. Knew that coming in but just wanted a value on the game itself. Met with some discomfort and blatant rudeness afterwards.

if you have a game to sell, just take it to marketplace.

I think I encountered the owners son who wears the beanie when I went in looking for a switch controller, and when we asked if they had them he grabbed them and told us the price and I (somewhat privately) said to the person I was with it was odd that for a single used one was the same price as I could find a used Xbox controller which I simply found odd and unprompted the one working there said “always easy to beat a local business” in a standoffish tone which was extremely uncalled for when I wasn’t even talking to him also they’re not even a local business it’s a chain, even if your daddy owns that specific store it’s a chain. To sum it up it was completely uncalled for to say something like that to a customer and made me immediately leave even though I wasn’t done

(Edit) I never said it was the owner I said the owners son and I don’t quite know how the previous owner has anything to do with my review and therefore you had no reason to try and guilt trip when you didn’t even read the posted review throughly, but my visit was on 01/29/25 and around 2 I believe. You’re employee I mentioned who wears the beanie has multiple awful reviews mentioning him specifically I think it’s about time you fire him instead of trying to find excuses to blame the customers on issues made by him.

I recently got a Xbox one a few months back and realized they could play Xbox 360 games. I went into the store and asked if they had call of duty black ops 3 for either Xbox one or Xbox 360 not knowing that the Xbox 360 version wasn’t compatible. When I went in the owners son gave me all the information about the game knowing I had an Xbox one and knew it wasn’t compatible and still sold it to me. I called the store to make sure I could bring it back and get a refund and the owner on the phone said I could bring it back today and she would refund me( not give me store credit) and when I went back in the owners son just gave me store credit even though he knew when I first bought it my Xbox wasn’t compatible with the game! Totally ripped me off! If you shop here be mindful that if anything is broken or you simply don’t like it you will NOT get refunded and will get ripped off!
To add the owner is gonna comment on my post about the return policy. Frankly if you stand on that anytime someone buys something they should be verbally told about the return policies. I was in there for 3 mins max and didn’t look at anything just talked to her son at the counter. So no I didn’t look up at the return policy sign.

I have a service dog. The first time I came into this store I was harassed by the employee for an ID card (which isn't legally required and isn't accredited. I can get my jar of nutella registered as a service dog.) I explained the laws and was continually told I had to leave. I fought for my rights and was able to stay and purchase the things I wanted to purchase. I have dreaded going back in but today I finally did. I am so proud of them. They asked me the two legal questions and allowed me to continue about my business. They were polite and courteous. I am so glad that they've read up on the laws. Thank you! Accommodations are the reason I can live my life and feel safe. You have shown maturity and growth and you definitely have my business!

A couple things I'd like to say to the owners directly:
- I appreciate the employee who asked us these questions. He deserves a raise honestly.
- I do however think that it's incredibly weird that you actually watch the cameras so much that you called to make sure he asked me these questions. That makes me slightly uncomfortable at walking into your store. But I understand why you take precautions.
- Before posting this review I read all previous ones of your store. As a completely friendly tip, I'd like to let you know that the way you come across in some of your responses to negative reviews is very unprofessional and highly confrontational. It's important to remain calm and be helpful even when someone is irate. It might be in your best interest not to drag customers through the mud for leaving a negative review. They are still potential customers after all! Stay positive and professional!😊

Had an awful experience with the guy at the counter wearing a beanie. Very rude and unprofessional, this is not how a business should be ran. Honestly the worst gamexchange I’ve ever been too.
