The Mercantile is a downtown Grass Valley favorite for the young and old alike. Upstairs is a kid’s wonderland with toys, games, stuffies, and project kits. Downstairs is everything from a candy counter to yard art to dish towels to knick knacks and much more. A great place to find a gift for just about anyone!

I love this store and the fact that it is still open after all these years. I used to come in to buy candy, as a kid. I am now turning forty years old.
My boyfriend and I went in recently to buy solar eclipse glasses. We purchased them for $3.99 each. A fare price for ISO approved glasses.
The staff if always friendly and the store is always clean.

Grass Valley Games sent me here when looking for a GIANT Jenga a couple months back when I had family in town. Are they the cheapest? That’s not their goal, but the price was comparable to the online giants when I checked afterwards, and my family would’ve been gone before the arrival. This game has given us so much joy! The staff at the store were incredible and they have a wonderful selection of everything! This store is a gem and you should definitely support them over Amazon, plus you’ll have it same-day and know the quality before you purchase!

overpriced, but a nice selection of toys. Again, so overpriced I usually don’t got there or buy much when I do. Added a pic of a wind up chick with a price tag of $7. These can be bought at the dollar store for reference.

We are big fans of this place and never tire of going there. Tons of toys and games upstairs. Some toys thoughtfully on display to be played with..kids love it. Large selection of games puzzles & costumes..a whole section of stuffed animals and so much more. That's just the upstairs. Downstairs is more for adults with gifts and a cute display of Dept. 56 Villages.

Amazing care and customer service! I ordered a holiday snow globe that was out of stock at most stores. Not only did they ship it out immediately, when I opened my invoice there was a crisp new $10 bill. Written on the invoice was a hand written note: "we got a great discount on shipping so we are giving you the difference". I am across the country in GA so not sure how often I can do business with Foothill Mercantile but they will be my first go to - in this day and age this kind of honest and generous service wins my business.
