Feral Studio Stained Glass Classes

Taking the 4-week stained glass class at Feral Studios was an incredible experience. I came in as a total beginner and left with the skills and confidence to create stained glass art on my own! Susanna, the owner and instructor, is warm, talented, and an amazing teacher. She creates a welcoming, creative space that’s both fun and inspiring. The class was well-paced, hands-on, and packed with useful techniques—she made everything feel approachable and exciting. Feral Studios is a true gem, and Susanna is the heart of it. If you’re even a little curious about stained glass, take this class. You won’t regret it.

Susanna's one day workshop got me hooked on glass art! The eye pictured was done in one day, and each of us in the class went home with a unique suncatcher. We all had a blast. She is a patient and knowledgable teacher and will support your creative dreams.

I absolutely loved learning to make stained glass with Susanna. I was a total beginner and she walked us through the process in her beginner’s class step by step. As an instructor, she’s the perfect mix of helpful and lets you do your own thing. Her studio is peaceful and the atmosphere in class is great. I can’t wait to take more classes and I’m so happy with the piece I made with Susanna’s help.

My friends recommended Feral Studio for beginner stained glass making. Susanna, the owner of Feral Studio, offers private classes for groups of 6-8, so I decided to celebrate my birthday with close friends this way. We had a blast! Susanna made it so easy to organize. She was responsive and flexible. Her studio is easy to find, parking was right out front, and the studio is any artists dream. She supplied all the materials (the prettiest glass!) and took us step by step, offering hands on support as needed. Stained glass making felt like a very forgiving craft that we all picked up fairly easily. My friends who have taken many classes offered by Feral/Susanna, enjoyed the class as much as the rest of us. I can’t recommend Susanna and Feral Studio enough! Getting to come home with our stained glass pieces is just the cherry on top after a day of creating with friends in Susanna’s care. We will definitely be going back to take her other class series! None of us had ever worked with stained glass but we took a one-day class at Feral Studio to make suncatchers as a birthday party. Susanna was patient and friendly and good-natured and explained things clearly as many times as we needed and by the end of the day we all had stained glass suncatchers to bring home! The studio is bright with light and there was plenty of room for seven of us to work and there was lots of different colors and kinds of glass to choose from. We all had a good time.

I can't say enough good things about Susanna + her classes. She's an excellent teacher - patient, thorough, helpful, clear, and celebrates all your small accomplishments as you learn how to make stained glass. A great part is that she keeps the class size small so you get a lot of personal instruction. I have taken both a beginner and introductory class, and I can't wait to take more classes. Sure - I could do this on my own (and now am thanks to the toolkit Susanna makes available for purchase) - but honestly the class time with others, a dedicated studio, and of course support from a master makes coming back totally worth it.

Susanna is a great teacher. The class was engaging and we had just enough time to complete the project in the 4 3-hour sessions. Susanna was also flexible in scheduling and letting me join another class on a day I couldn't make it.

Susanna is FABULOUS. She makes everything so easy to understand and helped me make something beautiful!! I definitely hope to take another class with her 🧡
