The Faherty store in Malibu Country Mart is THE showcase store for LA! The staff was super busy as they were happily attending to customers. The store featured men’s apparel mixing plaids and shades of orange and peach with blues to coincide with the Malibu vibe..

It was a beautiful, warm, sunny day and I was packed and ready to go the airport in my favorite Faherty shirt… a short time after, I found myself on a helicopter headed to the hospital with some significant injuries sustained in an accident. At discharge after the surgery and a few days in recovery, I was handed a bag of my things that I arrived in the helicopter with. In it, my wedding ring and necklace, socks, shoes, underwear, pants, and my shirt…

I checked out of the hospital with the following… both bones in my forearm broken and reassembled… fractured pelvis in three places… a hairline fracture in my sternum… and a Short Sleeve Breeze shirt in a discontinued print (nooooo!!!) cut off me and sliced literally in half by the (superhero, and HUGE Gratitude to them) Sheriff’s department when they picked my ass off the ground and strapped me to a plank (probably a more legit term, but you get the point 🙂 and put me on the flying ambulance.

Now, I have been a fan and a customer of Faherty for some time, and have had the best experience with the clothing AND the customer service. I recently relocated with my family to the Pacific Northwest from the LA area (sob!) where I was a regular customer of the Malibu store. I spent so much time in there that I got to know some of the staff, and always dealt with TJ. Awesome shop, he’s amazing as is the rest of the crew there (Will, and of course, the shop’s prior manager Emily)… Miss that store, tremendously!

Weeks later, I had received a promo text from TJ (Smith) about an upcoming sale and I sent him a quick note asking if they had one more of this specific shirt ANYWHERE and a few pics of my accident and helicopter ride, along with the mangled shirt. He replied immediately and asked for my shipping address, and while he couldn’t get the shirt I wanted, he found a great alternative and had it in the mail asap. WHAT!?!?!?! I didn’t ask for that, but WOW!!!!

He said he was grateful for my being a longtime customer of Faherty and that he always enjoyed working with me. No hesitation to be an amazing human and a spectacular representative of the brand, I was blown away. After all I had been through, what a phenomenal gesture, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TJ Smith!!!!!!!!!

I am writing this out of massive gratitude AND in the hopes that someone in the upper ranks at Faherty hears about this, take care of this employee, he is gold!. I also whole heartedly encourage any prospective new customers to give this brand a try, you will be super happy you did… such killer clothing AND a fantastic company to back it up!

Everything is so soft. I mean everything! Great fitting casual beachwear. We bought a lot and plan to return often. Husband loves the t-shirts. The customer service is top notch as well. I found that one of the dresses I purchased had a small hole the first time I wore it. They were happy to exchange it and apologized for the inconvenience of having to make the trip back. (I don't live in Malibu...yet : )

Have you ever walked into a store in Malibu where the staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful? Me either. I love, love, love this store and the wonderful staff. Today my husband was shopping for a jacket. We found the jacket Nd wanted to use a gift card that we got online. The computer kept rejecting it, so our amazing sales associate called the store in Newport Beach to find out what to do. He must have apologized to us 5 times for the wait. We were fine waiting and he worked out the issue over the phone with the Newport store. The store is beautiful and inviting and we will definitely be back for their excellent customer service!

I lost my wallet and was so upset! I don’t live anywhere near Malibu and I figured it was gone forever.
Fast forward 2 weeks I have a package in the mail from this store with a handwritten note!

I have been shopping at the Malibu store for 3 years, I adore the guys that work there, I deal with a wonderful person called Will who is exceptional, Will always goes above and beyond for me, I buy most of my gifts for friends and family here and Will gift wraps and helps me select pieces. I cannot praise the team enough, so much love for them 🫶🏼
