Lovely variety and many fun items!! Affordable too, grabbed a small aged nations millions years old plus a fossil of a fish on a slate!! Wonderful stuff with many other rocks stones etc!! Should have gotten the shark tooth as well.. 😁 Enjoy

The exploratorium store was a cool spot with a huge range of gifts to get. It is the gift shop to the Exploratorium. I liked the black sand exhibit at the Exploratorium and asked the sales associate there for some. She was very happy and eager to lead the way to the black sand. They also have a bunch of other cool tacky stuff to buy from a test tube glass tea diffuser to crystal rocks.

A jar of black sand was $9.72 which I thought was a fair price to pay.

Very cool place to take the kids. Lots of little science experiments to try out. Be ready to spend a few hours on your feet. Best to go early in the day while your legs are fresh. Our kids were losing patience and were exhausted and just wanted to move through and leave.

Pricey but worth the experience for the kiddlilings. An abundance of science made fun with workshops and interesting stations that explain everything from gravity to light waves. We need more attractions like this in the USA. Maybe then we might have a chance at reigniting the much needed interest in a field we have been left behind in.

Good place to hang out and learn some science with or without the family. Can easily spend all day there. May as well since parking is so expensive. I likedcthe original location at the Palace of Fine Arts better.
