Go grab some much needed water and electrolytes after your hike. Perhaps beforehand if you didn't plan on the hike. Just up the road from the trail, after the fire station on the right side. Parking is across the street from the store. Has all the basics for a general store, plus some.

What a small general store. I like the drinks and candy that they have in this store. My best favorites in the store are M&M's, KitKat, Twix, and Cherry Coke. Absolutely loved the service here. 5 stars!

Elkhorn is a great store, but most of all it’s the people that work there that make it what it is. Lynnette, Garth, and the rest of the crew are all wonderful. I’d mention their names, but I’m bad with names.

The gift shop that is attached is a must see with an eclectic variety of fairly priced items. The front patio has some clerance items that are great. The naked bee orange blossom scented lotion is amazing!! Very nice owner and staff.

Nice to have somewhere to get things in the middle of nowhere. But its my kinda middle of nowhere and love it. Pricey but hence being in the mountains you are lucky to find that stuff.

I'm a resident of Forest Falls and this is the only general store. The owners could use this to have a subpar store since there is no other competition, but I feel like they don't do this and really try to have items that residents and visitors need. They've even gone so far as to offer a survey asking what people would like in the store and responded by getting some of those items. It is a bit limited just due size of the store, which is really no fault of theirs.
