I've gotten several tattoos and piercings, and will likely get several more! Everyone is super friendly and trauma-informed, they do a great job of making you feel comfortable and safe. Getting my septum pierced by Cas was an absolute breeze. They offer snacks and drinks if you need a re-up of energy for long sessions and if you're a recurring customer they have a rewards system. I got a $15 dollar discount as a birthday gift and got to put it towards my newest tattoo! Both of the artists I worked with (Jaime and Devin) made sure to include all my requests in their tattoo designs and they came out BEAUTIFUL. So grateful this is my go-to shop.

I can’t recommend this tattoo studio enough! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm, welcoming, and super relaxed. I recently got three tattoos done by Jamie, and I am absolutely in love with all of them! Jamie is an incredibly talented artist who truly listens to your ideas and brings them to life with precision and creativity. The attention to detail and care that went into each tattoo was amazing.

Setting up an appointment with Jamie was a breeze, and the whole process felt so smooth and stress-free. The studio itself was clean, professional, and had a great energy that made the experience even better. Jamie’s artistry and professionalism really stand out, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and her work.

If you’re looking for a studio that combines a great atmosphere with top-notch artistry, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back for more work with Jamie in the future!

Genuinely have so much respect and love for this staff. I got my eyebrow piercings and nostril piercing and septum piercing done here and I’ve gotten 7 tattoos from Lavartoonz. The staff is cordial and friendly and conversational and nonjudgmental. Yes they are a little pricing for some piercings but they do it safely and talk you through everything and explain it clearly and even when my septum piercing fell out and I was panicking about it. Cassie put it back in for free. I genuinely LOVE this shop and hope to keep coming back here for the majority of my work for as long as I live in DeKalb. Hell, I’d be willing to drive the distance, or hell fly into IL and Uber to DTC if/when I inevitably move out of state.

I’ve had five tattoos done here over the past six months and I absolutely love this shop. Everyone is welcoming and professional. The shop has such an amazing and affirming vibe too.

Highly recommend trying your luck at a “mystery machine” tattoo from Jaime. It was so fun letting fate decide the design and then seeing how Jaime used color to make it unique and fun.

My fiancee and I got tattoos done by Lavar. We threw a lot of ideas his way and what he came up with was absolutely marvelous! Not only was his art fantastic, he is also very talented applying it. My go to for tattoo’s! Love how inviting the building feels. Ping has done most all of my tattoos and I have loved every single one of them! I would totally recommend coming here! They also take sterilization very seriously which many places don’t care enough to do. They constantly want to make sure you’re okay, and are very speedy with booking appointments!

What a great experience. 100% recommend this place to everyone. Cassie knows what they are doing and made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The staff was amazing as well. Took their time to help me pick out which earrings to get. Love the fact they didn’t rush me at all. So glad my son recommended this place now I can’t wait to get a tattoo done from them.
