I asked to pick the box of cards I was purchasing ($300) but the clerk, after thinking for a moment, refused. The reason given was that they needed to hop to retrieve the box from the shelf which was less than a foot out of reach. There was also stool right next to the clerk that they were seated on when I entered.

Poor customer service. Actively bad actually because the clerk made the conscious decision to disregard my request for their own convenience.

D20 Games maintains it spot as one of the best LGS's in the East Bay. They've recently moved into a bigger space- plenty of room for all of the card game events they host on every night of the week, as well as having smaller rooms for Dungeons and Dragons games. They still have a great selection of board games, card games, miniatures, and accessories for everything already mentioned! They're also one of the few game stores that have a collection of Magic/Pokémon singles, so if you're hunting for a specific card, take a walk in. The staff and owner are still fantastic people.

Great place to go and get games, cards, and a good time. Super friendly, slightly inconsistent with pricing, and a little steep when it comes to the buying and selling of cards collections, even though it’s obvious, 50 percent of value for store credit and 70 percent of value for cash credit rather a lot for a small game store; however, it’s the only way that they stay afloat. It is rather ridiculous nonetheless. So it’s hard to make a good solid investment, judging the situation and market, the rates of this place, still one of the oldest card games currently still in play and enjoyed. Overall the staff is kind and generous and friendly.

A good LGS with friendly staff and scheduled events. Decent stock in store though I'm sure they can get stuff delivered to the store.

They just moved down the block to a larger site with more gaming space. Give it a try!

Super cool little store in Alameda, off of one of the main roads leading in. Mostly a store for magic, but I’ve seen DnD in the back on Thursday. The owner Ben is very cool and drafted commander masters with us. It’s nice having a store where the owner is involved.

Pretty overpriced, bought 6 brilliant stars booster packs which would normally cost $30, but he charged me $50, but he threw in a 7th pack in there. Although it’s overpriced, they sell lots of singles and have a great selection, and was an overall great, I would’ve liked to explore the store but I was on a time crunch. There were people in the back playing d&d and it looked like they were having fun! Would definitely recommend and come back.

Do not sell cards to this place. Offering 50% store credit and 33% cash value is straight up robbery. That was the first red flag, the second red flag is using Ebay as a guide for pricing instead of TCG player like literally every other card store that exists. I sold cards before at this place and i was offered 50% cash value and 60% store credit, but the owner say it's never been like that. Still doesn't dismiss the fact that they're borderline stealing from you with such a bad price gouge. No thanks go somewhere else like Legends or King kong.

I came by with my son yesterday to purchase some Pokemon cards and it was a really cool experience for him. The both of us are new to Pokemon cards but the guys behind the counter were super helpful and nice. Definitely will come again.
