I was initially hesitant about booking this place, as the reviews and pictures didnât quite capture what I was expecting. However, I decided to give it a try, and Iâm glad I did. I reserved a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath apartment that comfortably accommodated three of us, and it could easily host a family of six thanks to its spacious layout and a convenient pullout couch downstairs.
The amenities exceeded my expectationsâshower pressure was excellent, making quick and refreshing showers easy especially if youâre a big group. The condo includes utilities for four people, with plenty of towels provided (Thanks Tina). While thereâs no air conditioning, the ocean breeze just a block away kept the unit comfortably cool throughout our stay. A nice bonus was having a hot tub in each unit, perfect for relaxing evenings. Parking was also straightforward, with one dedicated spot included.
A heads-up for warmer months: if youâre sensitive to heat, keep in mind that summer temperatures can get quite hot, and the unit might feel warm without A/C. Additionally, because of the communal setup, it can get quite loudâsounds from neighboring units are audibleâso donât forget your earplugs if you value quiet.
Off-season, this spot is ideal for friendsâ getaways or a quick romantic escape. Overall, a charming and practical choice that offers great value and a fantastic location near the ocean.

The condo was about a minute walk to the beach. It was spacious, clean, and well kept. There is also a laundry room inside the unit and the kitchen is stocked with a few dishes. The neighborhood itself was nice and parking was convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

This resort is amazing. The unit is so large with your own private hot tub and washer and dryer. You just canât beat that. The front desk people are so friendly.

We got a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath room. It has a a spa. The full kitchen is nice. Would recommend having butter or oil as the pans are not non-stick. The place is a little old-fashioned but in no way did it make our stay any less pleasurable. Love it.

They put us on the street with two minor children because the entry card was blocked. There was no check-in, that was the reason. The concierge was in a hurry and didn't take passport details. They knew the phone number and had sent a message through booking.com earlier. We had paid the fee in advance. that was all that mattered. They don't answer the phone! they don't respond to messages! The accommodation and service are a nightmare!

We booked this for a one room with pullout couch bed. This room though 1536 is the one with the gorgeous balcony View and a view out the kitchen window. They provided a hot tub but it was not warm or ready on our first day and we only stayed for two nights but luckily got to use it on our last night. Location wise this is a five-star place but as far as the rest of it goes not so much I called in advance to see what they provided and they said they provided Beach items but they do not provide beach towels when we got there even though it's right at the beach so if you're coming here please pack those. I went to go use the coffee machine and grab a coffee cup and all the coffee cups were filthy. The blender was filthy, the shower head needs cleaning. Etc our room was definitely not well maintained as far as cleanliness goes and that was disgusting that I had to clean it up in order to use it now that's just below par and definitely not good on the sanitary end. That made me really wonder if the sheets were ever changed but I didn't have enough time to focus on that because I was busy during my 48 hours stay. The reviews are about accurate this place is not well cut as far as service goes or cleanliness but the location is just amazing and you can just walk right to the beach in less than 5 minutes and the view from the balcony is amazing so would I stay here again absolutely yes I would just have hope that they would get better at cleanliness.

The place was bigger than expected. Definitely outdated in regard to bathroom, shower and furniture. Place was clean but had a damp smell to it. Could be because itâs so close to the beach. I checked out early but had no where to leave the key because the office was closed so I left it in the room. I give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

Great location from the beach! It was a VERY short walk to the beach, lovely beach (at least when we visited) with soft sand and if you walk to the south of the resort the beach has pretty sand dunes. The beach is large and open. We walked and ran along the beach far and often. On clear days, the channel islands were easy to view.||Our unit was two story. Downstairs had a family room, full kitchen with stacked washer and dryer and a half bath. The family room had a pull out sofa bed. The upstairs had two bedrooms. One had a king bed and the other had a queen bed. The bedrooms shared one full bathroom that is also upstairs.||There was a small patio area with a private hot tub and a BBQ grill which was nice. We did not use the grill but it looked nice. There was a balcony off of our unit, just the patio. I was told all but three units have a private patio and hot tub. It would be disappointing not to have a unit with this area. Resort policy seems to not allow a guest to confirm unit ahead of time so you must wait for check in to see if you have a hot tub unit. I would not have liked staying at the resort without a patio and hot tub so do not know how you would know to make the change before check in. ||The resort is older but fairly well maintained. Staff was very friendly. Units were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was decently stocked but missing essentials such as pans. It had pots but no pans. Housekeeping did bring me one medium pan upon request which was appreciated but made cooking a little difficult with only one pan. ||The noise from other units was present most of the time from TV and conversation inside and noise from the patios outside. Guests in neighboring hot tubs did get a bit loud from time to time. Quiet time begins at 10 pm and guests are asked to stop using the hot tub during quiet time. I found the early morning use of hot tubs to be quite noisy as neighbors didn't seem to feel the need to keep it down in the morning while using the hot tub. LOUD adult conversation and squealing children both were disruptive. The noise carried very loudly into the master bedroom and woke us up. It was after 6 am but when I am on vacation, I do not usually like to wake up at 6 am so was disappointed about that each morning. Also, we often came inside due to the strong smell from guests smoking cigarettes and marijuana outside. We learned just to walk to the beach which was lovely!||Midweek cleaning was not offered. Front desk staff is friendly but hours are limited to business hours with a break at lunch. This was often mildly inconvenient. ||Resort fees are high at $25 per day considering that there are not activities and VERY limited amenities. Small beach chairs, sand toys and boogie boards were available. These were nice but not worth $25 per day. Beach towels ARE NOT supplied and I found this to be a nuisance. Certain amenities are expected and beach resorts and beach towels are quite basic. At least one set of beach towels should be offered by the resort, especially since they charge resort fees. I was told beach towels are not supplied due to the naturally occurring tar that presents itself on the beach from time to time. I feel that if that is the nature of the beach near your property, the resort should still deal with it and cover damaged towels within the resort fee.||Resort activities included fresh popcorn from the lobby which was fun, a popsicle (we read about if but didn't go pick one up) and a sangria social in the lobby (we also did not participate). I have a hot tub at home so I know that it does not cost nearly $25 a day to maintain. High resort fees do become resentful without amenities and services to travelers.||The age of the resort is not an issue to me. I expected an older place. I was nervous about it considering the age and some negative reviews. We did like staying her enough and would consider a stay here again. The cheapness of the resort did bother me slightly throughout my stay and was an issue for me. For a few dollars per stay, the resort could really step it up a notch! As I mentioned no beach towels, not mid week towel exchange for bath towels, extremely worn bath towels in the units, not even one box of tissues in the unit, very stingy supply of kitchen dishwasher pods and paper towels, no starter supply of laundry detergent, no body lotion, our bath amenities ran out on the first day so we had to order shampoo, conditioner and body wash from walmart for delivery. I am sure I would have been able to obtain more from the front desk but with limited hours, I usually did not make it back to the resort in time to speak with the front desk. A list of cleaning chores upon check out was given and that is always annoying for guests. Owners do not pay the resort fee so asking them to clean up seems more reasonable but asking guests who are all ready paying the resort fee is annoying. The cheapness really hung over the entire stay. There was a printed document that stated guests would be charged extra cleaning if housekeeping needed more than an hour and fifteen minutes to clean the unit. I understand some guests are slobs. However, do not hold the rest of us in the same regard by assuming we are all unacceptable guests. Such language does not make guests feel warmly welcomed; it makes us feel scrutinized throughout our stay and concerned that we may in trouble at any moment.||Our tour to the Channel Islands was cancelled due to high surf. We booked through islandpackers.com as they seem to be the only company allowed to transport to and from the National Park.||We did not experience the tar that naturally seeps up from through the sand from time to time so did not have a problem with it. We were told it would ruin clothes, towels and shoes and that we would be charged for any additional cleaning that needed to be done in the condo due to the tar. We were nervous every time we walked into the unit that we had something on our feet that would incur extra charges. We left our shoes on the front porch to keep the condo cleaner. The resort did have a bottle of cleaning solution and paper towels to remove the tar before it got on the condo furnishings and flooring should be experience it.||Despite the age, the resort does have the potential to continue to be a nice place to stay due to a superb location. It would be so nice of management viewed guests as a delight rather than disgust and if management would be willing to use some of the required resort fees to offer something to the guests. We would recommend this resort to others as long as the future guests are aware of what to expect.
