Some interesting creatures sold here, like a huge snake for example. They have reptiles, birds, and mammals, but not too many fish. That being said, they do have low maintain fish that is great for kids to have as pets.

This pet store is my only reason for driving to grover beach and its completely worth it!! great selection, reptiles are very well taken care of, great fish selection and the staff is just the best !!! Thanks for the loaches and beardie supplies of the years !!!

Do not take your dog to get groomed here! I recently moved from Paso to Arroyo Grande. I’ve been taking Sophie my Pomeranian to the same groomer for 7 years in Paso Robles after moving to Arroyo Grande I started asking around. Three different people recommended Caroline at Pet Emporium so I took a risk. I am very disappointed my poor Sophie came out looking worse then when I took her in! Her hair is so uneven and it’s the worse haircut she has ever gotten! Also way more expensive then I normally pay, she charged me $58 when I would pay $40 in Paso Robles. Such a botched job! Take a look at the pictures the video I included is after a haircut from her groomer in Paso Robles. You can tell the difference between a great groomer and a bad one. Never again!

Horrible FIRST time experience!!! The worst “pet store!” I spent $45 on 3 glofish within 45 mins of having them 2 died. I called them to ask since I literally just bought them can they please replace them. First Lady I spoke with started asking me a million questions like I’m a fish inspector. First she tells me I can bring them in, then she says “no I’m sorry our policy is we don’t exchange fish.” I ask to speak with her manager she places me on hold to come back without her manager telling me the same thing. I asked her again, “let me speak to YOUR manager please!” She gets her on the phone to tell me yet the same thing!! I asked, “so you can not do this as a one time courtesy?” “I spend $45 in your store on fish that I literally just bought!” Rude and very unprofessional customer service! For the very first time moving here thinking this can be my “local pet store.” Absolutely NOT! I will not pass this store down to anyone in this area! Absolutely ridiculous!!! And WAY OVER priced! Way to go CD’s!! I think not! The only reason I rated it a 1star is because I had to, to write this review. Other than that it would have been NO STARS!
