I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cataclysm Games and Collectables in Machesney Park, Illinois, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the vast selection of tabletop games, miniatures, and collectibles they offer.

The store boasts a 5,000-square-foot retail space complemented by a 6,000-square-foot gaming area, making it one of the largest in the region. The gaming area is exceptionally well-equipped, featuring 16 full-size miniatures tables, comfortable seating for over 64 trading card game players, video game corners with the latest systems and 4K TVs, multiple RPG tables, a board game library, and a fully stocked paint bar. It's evident that they invest significantly in maintaining and upgrading this space for their patrons.

This is a cool hobby store as well as tabletop gaming store. There's a huge area for all the tabletop game playing, and also a very large store front area that carries tabletop games, miniature figures, dice, game card sleeves, some statues, and too many other things to list. If you're in the area and are a gamer, the store is well worth stopping into.

Just started coming here for MTG commander pods. $9 entry gets you two packs and the chance to win a rare card. So far everyone has been really friendly and helpful. The turn outs have been good too, usually 2 dozen players show up.

Incredible store with super helpful and knowledgeable staff. While there I was welcomed in just like any regular and was shown to some spots in the store the employee knew I would like. Overall amazing experience and I will be coming back many times in the future

It's literally my favorite store in America. A nerds paradise. Every time I pull into the lot feels like Christmas. Every time I've had any sort of stupid question the staff is always super quick to respond and super friendly. 10/10 I'll always recommend cataclysm to people. If this store goes out of business, I riot.

The shop is a mecca for all things gaming. Tabletop, card games, war games, minis, paints, dice, terrain, you name it. There's also no-cost tables for your DnD or Warhammer games available for use. Brian was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and overall made me want to come back.

Amazon messed up our MTG Duskmourn commander set preorder so badly, sending us one deck only and then the same deck as a replacement and not understanding how a bundle works. We cancelled with Amazon and decided to order from elsewhere- Cataclysm fulfilled the order through Walmart for as cheap (actually a little cheaper) as Amazon quickly and I had the 4 decks in hand just two days after we got the wrong thing originally. Lesson learned to support local shops when you can especially since they understand what bundle deals are and are familiar with the products they sell!
