UPDATE: they moved into a much smaller location. We went on a warm spring Saturday and it was packed. There was a line outside just to get in because the location is that much smaller. I also feel like they have less stuffed animals to choose from. But the staff the very helpful. And my daughter ended up finding a stuffed animal she loves.

Original review: Took my daughter to this location on Black Friday (It was a super packed so I don't recommend going on Black Friday in the future!) She had never been and had been begging for years to go. She loves stuffed animals! So if you have a child who absolutely loves stuffed animals, this is a great unique experience for them to build their own character. I appreciate that the workers took time with each child to build each animal. That made it special. You get to pick out a little cloth heart and put it inside your character for free. They have walls and walls of clothing and accessories for the characters, which is where they really get you. It's hard to walk out without getting clothing and accessories. Make sure to sign up for the rewards program so you can earn points.

The store is clean but very small and a bit disorganized. The way they have the queue lined up was confusing and you have to walk in a circle twice to follow the numbered order, which was odd. The female employee that stuffed the bears we bought was lovely and kind even though another employee was rushing her the whole time to go faster, she kept calm and made sure our kiddos were happy which I appreciated. The male employee running the register was extremely rude and patronizing to both me and my wife, tried to overcharge us, did not want to help us order something that was out of stock he could order online, did not put the bears in the boxes and instead handed them to me and told me to put them in, and then almost didn’t give us the bear certificates because I forgot what names our kids put on them even though there were only four certificates sitting there and three belonged to us.

Located in a tiny shop at Roseville Galleria, the lines are always reaching outside the shop. This is a fun experience for your little one. You can customized accessories, clothes and colors on your bear.

Great spot. The staff are friendly. You should try and avoid it on the weekends or holidays.

Do get print your bears certificate before you have your kiddo have it get filled because it’ll save you the time (they have it ready for your at checkout). It seems like EVERYTIME we go in they have the buy a $5 gift card and get $10 which can be use at your next visit.

The staff are engaging but at times it seems they might be a little drained with all the kids (or parents) towards end of day lol.

Good selection of items. If you forgot your gift cards, you can take a picture of them and show them and they will honor it. Located right across from a kids play area!!!! Very clean store.

We do love coming here but prefer to come during the day and not on weekend afternoons.

The manager (can’t recall the name) is super polite). Wide selection of tones for the Bear or you can record your own. They also have an array of scents and outfits.

The experience is a little more special if you go when it’s not as busy

We had the best experience at Build-a-Bear at the Galleria in Roseville. My husband and I would like to give a special shout out to Raul, who stood out amongst his fellow co-workers. He truly made this special experience top notch for our family with his amazing customer service and his incredible interactions and patience with our two 5 year olds. This was our first time at Build-a-Bear so we had a lot of questions which Raul kindly answered as he helped guide us through our journey there. We shared with him the importance of circumstances that brought us in that day and the objective we were going for. Raul, went above and beyond to help us not only reach that goal but he made it special, added suggestions, and took the time with our children to add the magic into the experience. Raul was experienced in product knowledge and not only answered our questions about all the accessories but he made it a point to use his knowledge to ensure our certificates were individualized in a way that helped meet the goal/objective we were aiming for with our visit there that day. We truly appreciate Raul and we will forever be grateful to him for making our visit to Build-a-Bear a positive memory that met the goal we were aiming for with our children that day.

My kids love build a bear, however, entirely packed and over priced. Staff is hit or miss, we have had some good customer service and not so good customer service. Overall, a fun experience to those who have not been before.
