They're friendly but seems every time I buy some items, they're expired and I have to throw them away... I forget to pay attention and check the date, though i feel they should too. It's kinda pricey but gets you out of a bind if you need fresh chicken or meats... They do have a large selection of items if you can't go to far to get what you need.

Rotten food, moldy bread $100 for a small” box” of expired groceries. *TIP* Go To Whole Foods.

The meat here is totally Phenomenal. I purchased 2 Porter Houses and was impressed by the tenderness and texture. My neighbor and I then purchased 2 Tri tips. The best hands down. They do need a little help with their marinade for Carne Asada. That meat was also excellent. An old school butcher that has heart in their meat. Love this place.

Best T-Bones in a long time
11/2 to 2inches thick. Q-up Tender....And they NEVER touch meat without gloves on. If your wearing a mask, weather they are or not isn't an issue....!!!!

I dont relish giving this place only 2 stars. I love living in this itty bitty no stop light town. And the cashier was super freindly amd very helpful. Her alone would be 5 stars. However, the prices are beyond highway robbery. Look, i get that we are about 20 miles from the nearest store. But its not like walnut grove is the dark side of the moon. But when you charge the community $5 for a $1 loaf of bread, only to have said bread sit for sale on your shelf already being 2 weeks PAST its best by date is criminal. And if its not criminal then it should be. $7 for a dozen eggs that cost $2 at walmart, or dollar tree products being sold at obscene mark ups..( think hydrogen peroxide for $5)..

.the irony of all of this is the delta is the heart of Sacramento's agriculture community. The hardworking residents of this area not only feed our state but the rest of the nation, if not the world. Yet, stores like the Big Store make eating fresh impossible for the very people that feed us. Food deserts are real.

Cashier= you were awesome!
Store Owner= you should be ashamed of yourselves. DO BETTER

PRICE GOUGING because its the closest grocery store. People can give good reviews about you know personally at the store and there maybe good homemade Mexican food however if you purchase things that you need in a daily or missing something for dinner the prices are insane. They charge $11 for a gallon of ice cream, $8 for a pack 8 hamburger buns. Thats ridiculous pricing. And the meat is expensive as well, thought id go cheap and but frozen burger. Come to find out they had frost bite on them. Will never spend another penny at that store.
