Steer Clear of this vendor and site at all costs. My team placed an order for 2 motors that were showing in stock on the website. Nearly 3 weeks went by and after over a dozen calls and emails combined, never heard a word from him. Eventually he just went and cancelled the order with 0 communication or reason to this day. Save yourself the time and energy and avoid.

I wish I could give zero stars.

His website does not reflect his actual stock. We placed a 2500 dollar order, which he received and did not elect to tell us that he did not have the motors or casings in stock. He told my team that the order we placed in October would not be fulfilled untile February of the next year.

A week before our launch he made the decision to go MIA refusing to answer my emails and phone calls. After a week long man hunt, he assured us on site delivery at our launch site. The next day he notified my that he was incapable of making good on that agreement, delaying our launch and incurring over $1100 in wasted travel expenses.

Bay Area Rocketry has been completely, and totally incapable of the simplest actions, dropping the ball every step of the way. They have wasted not only my time but led on my school's school's staff, and faculty.

Waste of time company, and sad excuse for a motor vendor.

I'll provide an update of the situation after legal gets in contact.

I placed an order for an item November 15, but just like another reviewer, the owner went MIA when I tried to communicate with him, due to no delivery of the item. Finally had to file a claim with PayPal to get my money back.

Do not buy from this vendor. Terrible reliability and customer service. They didn't responded to Paypal when I filed the claim.

Avoid this guy at all costs. I placed an order online on October 15th, everything I ordered was out of stock. ( no out of stock notifications on the website) since the 15th...I have sent this guy 6 emails asking for a refund, he responds to the first few with excuses about why he doesn't have what I ordered, (blamed the vendor) but now damn near 2 months later he still hasn't given me my money back.
If you are looking for rocketry supplies do look here, go with someone who knows how to run a business and treat their customers well

This guys has a website setup for things he has not intention of shipping to you and the only way you will get a refund is to dispute the charge with your credit card company.

I bought $230 worth of goods from him. They were out of stock (despite the website saying they were in stock). Now he won't return my emails or phone calls or PayPal requests for a refund. This is criminal.

It took Michael a while to come through but he did. What can I say? Well, how about the fact that all hell was breaking loose, forest fires, but he still did it. I had a phone call with Michael previously; he had spent his whole Labor Day weekend sending packages to us customers. Michael did really great.

BAR has been supporting the rocketry community on the west coast and beyond for many years. Mike has extensive inventory, but if you need special or big things, reach to him on email to confirm. BAR's prices are competitive, I always try to use cash and pick up at a launch to avoid credit card and shipping fees.
