It's really the only option in this town for everything you need at one place, but there's only about 3 working carts. Everytime I go in there I have to sort through all the carts to find one without a broken wheel. The bathrooms are usually pretty nasty too.

Honestly, I did not have a good experience shopping here....but the sweet cashier working the morning of 10/30/24 turned my experience around. The employees I encountered on the sales floor were either rude or made it seem as though I was bothering them by asking questions...and that was after chasing them down to ask them a question. I was pretty fed up by the time I checked out. I normally wouldn't have said anything but the kind employee at the register asked if I found everything I needed. I asked her if my experience was normal or if maybe everyone was having a bad day. She was extremely empathetic and was really disheartened that I was left with such a poor impression. She went out of her way to make me feel heard and appreciated and because of her efforts I will definitely give Academy Sports another chance. I wish I had gotten her name. She needs to be recognized for her efforts. She alone retained a customer who would have otherwise stopped shopping with Academy.

Most firearms are the same or even cheaper than our local pawn shops folks. We all know what they give us for things so shop new is all I can say.
