Mendels! You never disappoint! The perfect neighborhood spot if you sew and need just that ONE thing. I’ve been shopping here since the late seventies, and this is the perfect go to spot to match thread colors, (they have every shade of Guterman’s) or find a bit of trim. They’re still Far Out, but too not far out to get to.

The perfect craft store (and locally owned to boot). There is a section for everything. Painting of all types and mediums, paper, books, putties, dyes, stickers, knitting, trims, buttons, a sewing section, scrapbooking.

I am obsessed with this place and always spend way more than I anticipated because there’s so much greatness to find. They regularly update stock and also bring in high quality items from small sellers.

Came here to look for leather paint knowing nothing about how to paint on leather. Friendly shopkeepers helped me find the right products, explained the steps generally taken to paint leather and answered my usage questions. A decent selection of goods for my purpose and prices seem reasonable too. Definitely coming back for my next craft project!

Solid craft store! Went to the front desk to ask for help starting a new project as I've never made jewelry before, and they showed me everything I would need to start. A little expensive but worth it for the help and quality of items.

Such an eclectic shop! A much bigger fabric selection than I expected. Staff was really helpful to get me set up with materials for an embroidery project. Yarn selection was just ok, but that’s not their primary feature. Now their pen and brush supply? Pretty extensive!

I came here for fabric and metal studs, and Mendel's had a large stock for much cheaper than other craft stores in the city. All the employees are kind and super helpful in every way. I've come back on multiple occasions for their help. They also have a nice location, easy to get to by bus.

Lovely art supply store with a huge selection of items to choose from. I came here for beads and painting supplies, and checked out the fabric section while I’m at it. It’s so nice to have so many variety of products to choose from all in one of the place, it is perfect for someone who is constantly trying out new media.
