Best prices for Magic the Gathering stuff. They are starting up a somewhat casual commander night on Tuesdays at 6pm which has been a lot of fun. Don't know why so many reviews are so sensitive about the staff. They are always helpful to me and all of my friends. Yeah it's a family run shop and God forbid they have to change hours sometimes for emergencies, events, and issues they have in their lives. I have been to many other card shops that I won't go back to because of the way I was treated but this is the only one I go to anymore.

It's the only shop for Yu-Gi-Oh singles in San Diego so I have to come here but this is the worst card shop I've ever been to. They are always extremely rude, they have no website or any way to reasonably find out information about when the store is closed or when hours change. They have a huge collection of singles but won't bother searching through them if you have more than 10 cards you need and since they have no website you can't ever buy more than a card or two. Their cards are also extremely overpriced compared to online prices. I keep coming back to try and support them but I get burned every time I do. This is probably my last straw, I'll just wait for online cards from now on

TLDR: this has the worst customer experience and service hands down; call before you attempt to come here or just go to San ysidro games for a great customer experience, service, set times for open and close and yugioh!

Only photos I got before being asked to stop my review I wanted to review all Yugioh shops in San Diego highly but I guess nothing is that easy. Not friendly people unfortunately they have a good shop with a fair amount of cards but it should be ran with different management or customer service in mind. I’m not a stickler on it but the bare minimum should be atleast warranted; came in and looked around said good afternoon to the counter and got growls back.

They have funkos I can’t show you, Yugioh selection I can’t show you and magic I barley was able to. I can understand the area the shop is located in may warrant some suspicious to everyone that walks in but come on. Not to mention the “open whenever they feel like it” vibe I’ve tried to come here multiple times over the passed few months to no avail but calling is a best way to figure out the times to come over which I can commend for the structure. The only save grace from a one star for this place is the card selection other then that good luck with your experience here.

The Yugioh community I’ve interacted so far in my life as a duelist has nothing but negatives when mentioning this place but always has positives for when it comes to their stock. Trading is banned here, buying and selling among players is banned, appraising for customer cards for the store is up in the air since I didn’t get that information.

Honestly if you want a good introduction to the most popular card games I’d say avoid this place for your first time to not ruin your palette and scare you away from a great community.

Your first stop for games and collectibles.

Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Anime figures, sports collectibles, Funko, video games, comics, Custom skateboard parts, sleeves, deck poses, whole boxes

This small family owned and operated store will give you a better deal than almost anywhere else.

They have been around for at least 15 years and is the place to go for everything card games and more.

Best place in San Diego to get all the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards and merch. Been there too many times... My brother and I probably pay their rent now! Lol

Anyway, I'm reading a lot of comments saying that the customer service is subpar... Don't listen to them, everytime my brother and I go it's always cool. They are chill and answer any questions we have .. not to mention the prices are more than fair. Like what do these people expect to get flower petals thrown at them and have a red carpet role while they get tossed off? Get outta here with that nonsense... This is a card shop not a damn restaurant..

"Oh they are closed whenever, oh they were not the nicest".

I swear these people wouldn't survive in the real world! ?

Anywho, great shop 5/5 always recommend.

I will just say this ... this is the closest card shop to me. It is a literal 5 minute drive from my house, BUT ... I would much rather drive all the way down to San Ysidro Games Too. SY Games Too has amazing customer service, the best inventory of cards in San Diego, and they are ACTUALLY HAPPY to have customers in their store. You can trade and sell in the store with other players, and the staff is really knowledgeable and will help you find what is best for YOU.

Gamezone just doesn't compare. Yes, they have an amazing inventory across multiple media and card games, but when you treat your customers like trash, have so many restrictions, and are just rude and overpriced, it makes you think twice.

Go to SY Games Too instead, you'll thank me later.

I've come here a few times and the people they have working there are always in a bad mood or act like they have something better to do. Cards are overpriced and good luck getting the cards you like. If you ask me just make the trip and stick with San Ysidro Games Too. Way better people working there and they always have the cards.
