I encountered a rude, racist, and unprofessional owner during my visit. Her behavior was insulting, biased, and unprofessional. While picking items, some small wooden figures accidentally fell, but none were damaged. Despite this, the owner blamed us for breaking a figure she retrieved from under a showcase table, claiming she had footage on her security camera over the billing desk. She refused to show the footage, even after we offered to pay the full cost of the supposed damage.

The owner should learn from neighboring shops like the 'Anahata' gift store, which display far better professionalism and receive more positive reviews.

When you walk into this store, It seems like just a typical place, and at first, I thought it was decent: nice atmosphere, good music, nothing out of the ordinary. But then I began noticing cameras everywhere, I mean everywhere! Fine, I get it—security. But what unfolded next was simply absurd.

My son, like any normal young adult, was briefly playing with a small cushion—a fluffy, toy-like item—and after he was done, he casually tossed it back into the basket where it came from. What happened next was completely uncalled for. The owner of the store comes charging over, absolutely losing it. He starts yelling at my son, telling him to “respect” his store and scolding him as if he had destroyed the item, which he hadn’t. I stepped in, naturally, asking what on earth was happening, only for the owner to accuse my son of kicking this harmless, squishy toy. And even if something had gone wrong, I would’ve paid for it. But this wasn’t even about that—it was the overreaction to something utterly insignificant.

My son, being more mature than the store owner, apologized. The man claimed to “respect” my son for doing so, but by then, we were done with the whole experience. What this man didn’t realize is that his disgusting attitude cost him more than just that toy. My son, the one he berated, is heading to college to study geology—ironically, something this store specializes in. My other son is also in college and was interested in fossils and bones the store had. This man could’ve made a sale, but instead, he threw it all away because of his irrational behavior.

And let’s not forget—no cell phones allowed in the store? Are you kidding me? The level of paranoia and distrust toward customers is ridiculous. Without customers, you don’t have a business, and if you treat them like enemies, that’s exactly what they’ll become. The sheer lack of professionalism, the unhinged reactions, the yelling—it’s the worst kind of environment.

Needless to say, I would never return, nor would I recommend anyone else go here. We left the moment this happened, and what could have been an enjoyable part of our day turned into a disaster thanks to this man’s attitude. To the owner and his wife, who clearly don’t care whether anyone shops in their store: congratulations, you’ve succeeded in making your business one to avoid.

Rude older lady told my friend to put away her phone. My friend complied and didn’t know she had to because the signs are small. We walked around and were followed the whole time. Mind you we are young adults, she then snapped at my friend and said to get off her phone. She had powered her phone off entirely after the first altercation. She then remarked that “oh so you just playing and acting like your on your phone.” Totally unprofessional, we had only been in the store for 5 mins.

Our family had a fantastic time gold panning and digging for crystals on Daniel’s property. The area with the crystals are really well shaded and made for a great way to spend some time learning about this area and walking away with a great haul of crystals. He is extremely knowledgeable and really engaged with the kids well!

Come for the show! The gentleman behind the counter on my visit was hilarious—joking around and having fun with all the customers. Stay for the selection—the largest selection of souvenirs in town.

Great street presence so we had to go in. There was a ton of variety. Observed some pretty cool stuff mixed in with the usual tourist clutter. Prices were somewhat high in my opinion. Didn't buy anything.

Lady there, not the owner by the way, was kind and helpful. Lots of warning signs on entrance from owner which seemed out of place. Enjoyed browsing very much tho.

Cashier (Owner?) was an older lady with a terrible attitude. As a business owner myself, it’s rare to meet someone who is probably solely responsible for damaging their own business. Nasty to my 8 year old even though he was supervised and caused no harm to her or her products. Possibly she’s dealing with mental illness? I’d highly recommend bringing on a cashier and staying far from your customers. We walked out after continued negative comments from her as we tried to make a purchase. Utterly baffling.
