Razer Kaira X Xbox Heard.
Well what a pain the service was from Smyths. Required a new set of headphones for my sons pc, he liked the Razer Karia and seen these ones online at smyths. We went to smyths and asked the sales person to have a look at these headphones, even though it states for xbox it also stated on the box that they are compatible for pc aswel. The sales person confirmed this and advised "yes they will work on Pc". We got them home and my son could not wait to unbox them. Immediately my son said he had audio through them but his mic was not working, I thought this was a fault with the headphones. I returned back to Smyths and spoke with another sales person explaining the issues I was having. He tested them on his mobile phone (not PC) and low and behold he got the microphone to work on his phone. The sales person said as the headphones were worker on his phone he was unable to offer any further assistance and stated that this would have to be done through Razer. Two so-called sales assistants down and still neither of them new anything regarding the products they are selling. I took them home and done some further research myself. A look on Google and I found that these headphones require an xbox one stereo adapter to allow them to work on Pc, something that was never picked up or advised by Smyths sales personnel. Took them back to Smyths and explained that I was sold these headphones as being compatible with Pc but was never advised you needed adapter as the sales assistants I previously dealt with did not know this. Full refund was given the third time round as I provided the evidence. What a pain......

Bought a faulted product from the Metrocentre store the day before lockdown. Web chat could not help so was advised to return it to store for refund once open again and we bought another toy else where as it was out of stock at smyths online.
Jamie the manager served me and his service was an absolute disgrace. He basically called me and my partner a liar saying he knew for a fact the product did not leave the store in the condition I returned it and refused our £100 refund. He refused to look at the online chat or our receipt to show we bought another toy. To say this is a store for families and children, I expected much better and we will not be returning to this store again. I’d much rather travel the extra 5 miles to Team Valley. Only positive from this experience was how quickly and efficiently the area manager resolved this issue for us.
Jamie left us feeling very disappointed and undervalued as a customer from what was one of our favourite places to shop.

Much cheaper than Amazon, always great service. Once I didn't have a pound for the trolley, I was doing a big Christmas shop, and the girl from behind the counter lent me a quid to get one! Can't ask for more! Stuff Amazon and buy from somewhere that actually employs people and pays tax.

Took my 5yo to choose a toy. Price on shelf said £24.99. Went to the till and scanned at £43!! Staff rushes off and guess what when I went back to point it out there was no price tags at all... manager very uninterested and one upset chilled. Joke of a shop that has ZERO customer service skills. Would rather give my money to Amazon than support this 'local' business who clearly can't do proper service. AVOID!!!

Staff are really nice, security is a p***k. Stands there and watches us EVERY single time we go in to look at pop vinyls as if we are going to start shoving them up our T-shirts. Attitude today was disgusting when asking us to leave the store a different way - just let us leave why does it matter which checkout we walk past?! Will be going to team valley or wallsend from now on.
