Fun eclectic store with art and culture books perfect place to shop for a gift for a cultured fun friend. The prices are reasonable. They are strict with not bringing in beverages and large bags. Parking is tricky with street parking.

This store is so cool! But the employees seem really stressed out and annoyed at everyone. Just my overall enjoyment was ruined by the bad vibes the employees were giving off. No eye contact at the register, I don’t think any of these people are familiar with the term “customer service”. I asked an employee where something was and instead of showing me he just pointed to the back of the store, like the general area, and I couldn’t find it so I gave up.

Cute shop. A lot of interesting stuff. Visited several times over the years and almost all the time I feel as if I’m an intruder. Scolded for taking a picture of one page of a book. Worker wanted to inform me the concept of books and reading and how we are supposed to buy books not take pictures of books. It’s called customer service. Never buying anything from here.

One of Hollywood’s old treasures. How rare a place like this can survive amongst all the change in the last couple decades. Wacko is a place for artists, designers, lovers. Books that challenge you not to stop and flip through a few pages. Tons of wacky toys, candles and T shirts. This place hasn’t changed much over the years and thank hell for that!

Found this gift shop when I originally planned to visit La Luz de Jesus Gallery. The art gallery is actually inside the shop. You find some interesting gifts or books in this shop, I got some fun designed bottle openers, nicely tin packed French soap and semi-gemstone bracelets for my friends, even a Shark block book for my 3-year-old nephew. You will definitely find something you like in this shop. Oh, and the staff are super friendly also helpful 🙂

One of my favorite places to spend idle hours but sadly now the gallery is closed so no new art exhibits and restrictions are pretty tight on how many people can be in the store. Employs followed you around making sure your mask is on the entire time and the air does not work well so it makes for an uncomfortable experience just being in there with the heat.

Weird and wacky and so interesting on many levels. This is the go to bookstore for unusual items such as counter culture, LGBTQ, occult and prank material. Every time I go I get a kick out of this place.

A solid review for a book store plus that will not disappoint! Cool place for stickers, cards, books,candles and just hard to find counter culture materials.

The staff is friendly and the store is really large and stock full of goodies and treasures.
