I am a valley native from Phoenix and I can't believe that I've never been to Hobby Depot before now. I was astonished at the selection of quality high end model kits they have on hand, reasonably priced too. The selection of upgrade parts kits, paints, and accessories is awesome, and you get all of this, and a smile to boot. Experienced, helpful advice, passion for the craft.

Nice little store. If your looking for train stuff, forget it, very disappointing and depleted of inventory and accessories. But if you are looking for model cars and planes, they might have it, sorry.

Awesome store. The owner is very nice and lets you browse in peace. My wife and I were looking for a specific car, which he said he would have in stock in a week.

We bought two items, and he explained the difference between the models we bought and the ones that just snap together.

Awesome store and owner. I plan on going back for paint.

Nice to see that there are still hobby shops in the Phoenix metro area. Hobby Depot has a good selection of model kits and supplies. I will be returning to purchase more Tamiya spray paints.

Great little shop with modeling supplies, repairs and paints. Model train stock was focused on HO and I found a great souvenir for my trip to Arizona.

Edit: needed some last minute supplies so I made another visit; much better impression the 2nd time around. Prices are still a bit precious on some things but good on paints and mainstays, granted, they were still out of the #1 thing I needed so it was procured online.

I waited 10 minutes before even being greeted. While it's true the gentleman was helping a customer on the phone, I was the one who took the time and spent the gas to physically come into his store - I don't think a brief acknowledgement is asking too much.

I'm happier supporting independent stores based in the community but it's hard to when they don't have what you need.

Overall, a nice shop.

Small shop but mighty and covers a lot of my needs for custom action figures. If it's not there, they can order what you're looking for. The owner is really nice and very knowledgeable. He's given me a lot great pointers for painting that came in handy. I always come here first before even going to a Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

A great place for military models like aircraft, tanks, etc. They also have a good selection of cars. They seem to be a little thin on sci-fi models (Gundam, etc), but that’s not my cup of tea so no big deal. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable, offering me lots of advice and insight for buying my first couple kits. I only wish it was closer to where I live!
