Quiet little spot on the river just outside of town. The managers were super friendly and accommodating. We showed up 4 hours before check in time and they said the room was already set! Super clean bathrooms with hot water and great water pressure, quaint decorations, good friendly vibes. Next time I stay in Downieville I will be staying here again.

We spent 2 nights here last weekend and couldn't have had a better time. The cabin was immaculate and really tastefully decorated. Comfortable beds, nice furniture, well-stocked kitchen, everything is practically brand new. It was nice to fully unplug for a couple of days. Our kids played in the river, my husband fished, and I just sat on the porch overlooking the river and soaked in the beauty of my surroundings. Such a special spot. We'll definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lure. The camping cabins were simple but comfortable. We had everything we needed. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly and the river access is fantastic. Rock hopping, river bank exploration, and swimming holes…we’ll definitely be back. Also a great home base for day trips to the Gold Lakes.

We had an amazing stay at the Lure Resort. It truly is a hidden gem! Our cabin was in a perfect condition when we checked in and the amenities were more than what we expected. It was lovely hearing the water in the river with the cabin being steps away from it. We also enjoyed watching the stars at night! We will definitely be coming back to visit again.

We had a wonderful couple nights in Cabin #9. The resort was at capacity but you would never know it, the staff were friendly and the only thing you hear at night is the river.

The cabin was luxurious and clean. Although it’s rarely needed, we were there during a heat wave and an AC would have been a welcome addition. But there were fans and a cool breeze.

Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay! Being unplugged was fabulous and we even had no power. PG&E protecting us from the wildfires (thank you!). Even with no power, it was fantastic. They provided us with a couple lanterns; they still had hot water and the ability to cook on a gas stove as well as gas fireplace. We stayed cozy. The amenities were spot on. They provide a fully stocked kitchen, warm bedding and a beautiful setting along the North Yuba River. My dad and boyfriend fished the entire time we were there! My mom and I did a puzzle by lantern light. However you choose to spend your time at The Lure, you will not be disappointed. We will 100% return!

The perfect staging spot for getting in multiple days of epic trail riding.
Our cabin was rustic and spartan, but just what we expected... Next time we'll bring a candle. The location right on the river made for a great breakfast spot. It would have made for a great post-ride gathering spot but the hosts put out some wood for the communal fire and we got to know a lot of nice folks.
Not to mention the bathrooms and showers were brand new and very nice.

We really enjoyed our recent stay. This was our first time up during the winter which was a pleasant change from the crowds of Lake Tahoe. The staff was friendly and always available if we needed anything. The cabin was very clean and tidy. We found some trails to explore and the whole family had a great time during our Christmas stay.
