Just Reported you to the Better Business Bureau!! I ordered a card online off of this horrible shop beware!!! Worse experience purchasing a collectible card, from a vendor I cannot believe this shop has a four-star reputation!! Such a horrible shop in the description it Cleary says it said near mint!! I don't know what their ideal of near-mint is well let me show you guys in the picture please do not do business with these people,, give yourself a big huge pad on the back for being a BUNCH OF LIARS AND THEIFS!! And not to mention the card smells like cigarette smoke wow

A true gem in Torrance. Family-owned business since the 90s. I used to come here every weekend as a kid and I can't believe that they're still around. I always try to make a trip here whenever I'm back in town. The owners are so sweet and explains why they have such loyal customers, some of them with their own families and kids now. Excellent customer service, they give great suggestions based on what you need. 100% authentic, they used to hold official tournaments by Konami. They have a great selection of booster packs and boxes. The way to pull a Mega Pokemon or any rare card in general is to buy sealed boxes, which trust me, you'll know if it's re-sealed right away by the way the seal looks.
They used to display individual cards but things have definitely changed, especially after COVID, and they are moving towards more online sales & business. Everything is still available, you just need to look it up online beforehand. They allow you to purchase online or call-in to save cards seen online and come-in to do pick-up so that you save on shipping costs.
They occasionally buy used cards and those are the single cards listed online. Please remember that this is a small business and they are not buying to collect, they are buying to make a living. There are a lot of costs and time spent sorting, organizing, storing, listing, and potentially shipping these individual cards. The owner is always upfront on how they buy cards. If you are selling singles, they will look up market price and offer you a price they feel worth it for them to buy and resell. The price is always mutually agreed on between the seller and buyer. There are plenty of avenues for one to sell privately, such as Facebook Marketplace and eBay if you are hoping to get 100% market price. This store is based on honest, hard-working people and I will always rather spend my money here, rather than a corporate conglomerate like Walmart or Target! I hope they stay in business forever.

I've been going to 8 Ball for..over 20 years now as crazy as that sounds. I remember going there as a kid in middle school. The owners were a young couple just opening their own business I think. Now they have kids and the kids are growing up. Time really flies. They're quiet but nice people. The selection of Yugioh singles there can't be beat and they have at least a little of everything else. Excellent store.

Truly everything is overpriced in store and online. Prices reflect all cards are gem mint, they are not. Nor will they change a price of a card slightly to match TCG pricing even though their card is marked up 60% . Been collecting for over 10 years, i usually never go here because of these issues! Please Be Aware

Ever since I first visited 8 Ball Cards and Games, I've made it a point to visit them first when I'm looking to expand my collection of Pokemon cards. The store is not the biggest I've been to, but the service is great, the selection is great, and the prices are more than reasonable.

I've seen a few reviews mentioning the offers being made for singles, and while I wasn't there for those particular instances, I have sold cards to this store and have never been low-balled. They've always been up-front with how they get their prices (they look up eBay listings right there in front of you using the laptop on the counter) and will make an offer if it's worth their time and effort to resell them. What a lot of people seem to forget when selling to local card shops is that they're not buying to collect, they're buying to resell them, and there are costs associated with storing, organizing, listing, and potentially shipping these cards out, so of course you're not going to get anywhere near what you could get for them if you sold them to a collector. They still need to make money, and paying you retail for these cards isn't going to do it. There are plenty of other avenues for selling privately, such as Reddit groups, eBay, and a large number of private classified-style apps you can use.

I've really enjoyed coming to this store, and I hope to be visiting again for a very long time. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly, and the selection is spot on.

Small place but lots of stuff! I always enjoy going there to find specific cards, great place to look if you're only looking to buy one or two cards. Pretty good prices. Some cards and sets can be cheaper there than what's available online. Plus ever $10 you spend there you get a raffle ticket that's entered in the monthly raffle. They raffle usually gives 11 people $100 credit and 1 person $200 credit.
