They have great selection of yarns that are of good quality. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff with any questions you may have. Saw that they have private and group lessons in crochet and knitting in there store. I love that they have good samples projects for inspiration for a new project. I enjoy going to the store to search for new yarns and project ideas.

They have a great selection of local yarns. I love how the natural and non-natural fibers are neatly separated by room/location. The hand dyed yarns are really beautiful and they have plenty of each kind. The staff was super helpful and printed out a pattern for me when I asked, and also taught me how to spin yarn.

Amazing selection of yarn and knitting necessities. Everything is in size order (thickness), which makes it convenient. The staff were really helpful in picking out a yarn for my baby hat project. Every single color you can imagine! It’s very clean and I can spend hours in here.

Love this San Francisco iconic yarn store.
Absolutely packed to the brim with an amazing selection of yarns, I could easily spend 2 hours just working on colourscapes for future projects.
The library is very well stocked with books well beyond patterns.
Many notions available and some unusual pieces I had been looking for.
The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure I got exactly what I needed for my project.
Regular classes available as well as fun knit alongs. Keep your eyes out as many celebrity knitters have been known to stop by.

This store has a large selection and the staff are very helpful! I was looking for summer yarn and was approached by staff who explained that the yarn was arranged by fiber type and weight/thickness. I went to the plant based/synthetic section and easily located these yarns: Lang Linello, Berroco Summer Sesame, Noro Yukata, and Imagiknit Linen Lace. They also have many choices of yarn tools at the front register.

At checkout, the staff signed me up for their frequent buyer rewards points program that counts 1 point per $1 spent, and rewards $10 off after accumulating 200 points.

I noticed that other customers were there for private lessons, as well as a yarn cake winding station.

Overall, a pleasant experience! Will be back for the next season 🙂

Love this place! Took a knitting 101 class here with instructor Judy a few months ago. She is so knowledgable, cute, humorous and an amazing teacher! Wide variety of yarn and lovely staff!
