I had ordered my daughter a pair of vans from the online store and she said she loved them but never wore them, they continued to sit om the shoe shelf untouched. I still had the reciept and it said that I could return them in 'new' condition for up to 365 days from purchasing. I went into the store and asked about it and there were four girls at the register. One told me that I had to have the box and when I inquired she beckoned over one of the others. This person was older than the other three so may have been a manager (? not sure) but when I repeated myself what the reciept said instead of telling me nicely that 'new condition' meant 'in the box' she looked at me and snarkily gave me an attitude..."yea it says new condition and of course that is with the box"...just ever so treating me like I was crap on her shoe. I did not deserve to be treated like that for inquiring and I was sincerely
asking because I had never purchased from
there before and wasn't familiar with their policy. I had my
8 year old with me so I didn't say anything, I just walked away. Perhaps she had had a bad day or something🤷🏻‍♀️. I only
put one star so it would let me put a review...I give zero stars and will never go in there again.

A young lady at the mall was great with my daughter today. She was so attentive and helpful with my daughter especially since she had a bad foot. She made my daughter feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I wish I knew her name. All I remember is that she went to RCP and graduated high school in LA. Excellent service from this young lady. It’s very refreshing to be helped out by a respectful young lady.

I went into the Journeys upstairs a couple days ago to return a sweatshirt. When I first walked in , the employees were on their phones and standing around doing nothing. One of the employees was very rude to me and didn’t bother to hear me out. She had black hair and was on the bigger side. She didn’t even look at the receipt and told me they couldn’t do returns on accessories. I don’t remember that ever being a rule. I went downstairs to the kid store & asked if I could return it there. The employees there helped me and were also confused on why the journeys upstairs didn’t take it. It is not my fault if you hate your job , you treat customers with respect.

Anna the store manager is phenomenal. She goes out of her way to help you find what it is you need if they don't have it. She has a terrific personality when it comes to dealing with kids, and oh I forgot, she's my daughter. 😎

I have to commend the young lady that was working by herself. She treated each customer promptly and was super efficient and very polite. She should get a raise. I should have gotten her name for this, but it was at Santa Rosa Plaza store around noon.

I wanted to share this experience with the world many years later since it was terrible. Hopefully, Journey has learned from the experience and become a better company towards it's clients. I was 18 when I bought some very expensive shoes from this location in Santa Rosa, 120 dollars. I was a minimum wage employee and full time student, 120 dollars required saving for months. I bought a pair of shoes that seemed to fit OK when trying them on in the store, but were giving me blisters on the inside of my feet by the time I reached the mall exit. I returned back into the store 15 minutes later, receipt in hand to the same employee I bought the shoes from. I simply wanted to exchange for a different pair that did not blister my feet. The employee denied my request! I started getting upset and the employee cussed at me. I asked for the manager. After 30 minutes of arguing they gave me my money back, even though, originally, I just wanted an exchange and planned on buying another pair. They told me never to come, don't worry, I won't! It's been 15 years since this event happened, I've told all my friends over the years not to purchase shoes at Journey, they don't. I've seen shoes I liked from Journey and passed them by due to the horrible experience. Are we learning something Journey? All these years you've lost a lot of business and I will never buy from you. Hopefully, you've solved this problem by now.
