Stumbled upon 118 Marketplace by chance & it instantly became a favorite.
I was greeted by a gentleman named Edwin who immediately began to tell me all about it & shared a visitor’s map with me. He hopped into the elevator and welcomed me to check out the second floor. I couldn’t believe my eyes….the vendors booths kept going & going. If I understood him correctly a few buildings have been added to this one which explains the slight elevation of the floors as you explore. And with Christmas, the vendors have put up the sweetest decor and gifts. I took as many pics as possible. I honestly felt like I had stepped back in time….It was surreal.
I’ll wrap by saying I was completely blown away by the kindness of one vendor: AShoppingHabit who gifted me the sweetest nightgown that reminds me of what my mom used to wear. And additionally, the staff Sue and Shari, our conversation at the front near the entrance will stay with me for the rest of my days. Sue, I will cherish your gift and always remember my short visit to Kanapolis as I travel for cancer research. Shari, sometimes a chance encounter can change a life. Thank you for wrapping my trinket with love!

The Marketplace On Main is a great place to shop for unique items. The staff members are excellent and great to work with. They always greet everyone with a smile. I have a booth on the second floor (208K). My experience as a vendor has been fantastic!

Bright, Friendly, Fun and Eclectic! This is NOT your grandma's antique mall! I found the most amazing and personal gifts that have ranged from locally, handcrafted pottery to wall art to unique knickknacks and beyond. Plus the entire Kannapolis downtown area is so pretty with tons to do (brewery, arcade, shopping, ice cream, etc.)

We enjoy looking at antiques whenever we can. We just happened to be in the area so we stopped in to look. The store was clea and well organized. They had a lot of good items. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Don't get fooled by the outside look, this antique store is huge and very spacious. Once you enter, everywhere you look you are going to find something for anyone. Welcoming staff and clean restrooms. Perfect place for a summer visit.
